Oxford Village School Waiting for a Snowstorm

News today is that we are going to (maybe) get part of a big snow and 60 mph gale storm heading our way.
Here's the school today with the snow almost all melted away... only to be replaced in the next 48 hours with new and fresh.
The other news is far more promising: the Village of Oxford Council has voted 4 to 1 to NOT allow Fracking as part of the zoning laws. Fracking, a water-chemical infusion into the special type of soil here that releases natural gas and pollutes the ground water. Our public water comes to us from three wells, if fracking is allowed then our only source of water could be compromised. It is significant that the mayor changed his mind and voted on the side of justice and right.
We are the only village or town in our county to vote against fracking. Lots of farmers have sold the gas rights to their land in speculation of finding gas there. But so far the state has not given the okay to drill. Hot, hot topic over here!
We'll get cooled off with the snow dump -- if it really arrives.
