Mr Heron

After the stress and excitment of the last few days l agreed to go blackberry picking with a friend. We wandered along paths and through country parks and managed to get about 3 pounds each which are now packed in the freezer for use in pies and puds in cooler times. We chatted and laughed and it was wonderfully relaxing. I spied the heron standing very still by a rather sad, dirty stream as we walked by.
On another positive note, our older son who has been feeling under the weather was sent off for a Covid test which came back negative - phew.
We are set to have a couple of very hot days here, the weatherman announcing that the temperature could reach 34 on Friday. We are packing up and going down to the coast where it is always several degrees cooler.
