River walk

Met N this morning for a river walk. The weather was just perfect for walking and we saw many lovely wild flowers, dragonflies, a heron, a pair of swans with six cygnets, but thankfully no snakes - although I have seen two in the past couple of weeks. I've nothing against them, but I'd rather not encounter them on a walk.
In the afternoon, M came round and we did another short walk to the Mill and then enjoyed tea and scones on the patio.
Finished off the day with yet another walk with my neighbour G. We are so lucky to be surrounded by lovely countryside and have been watching Nature progress all through spring and summer. When we started the wheat and barley was a few inches high. Now it's fully mature and ready for harvesting.
