New Life
Not the best start to 2013. My brother-in-law and cousin have both died and another cousin has been told following routine scan, that her cancer has returned, is now lodged in her brain and sadly there is nothing more that can be done.
As a consequence we've been rather busy and miserable and I've not felt much like taking photos or writing any sort of diary as I felt it would be too depressing to share. Whilst I've taken the odd photo there is nothing that pleases me or that I think is worth sharing. Whilst there is still one funeral to take place and I must also try to support my cousin and her family with her cancer, I need to try getting back to being just a little bit creative.
Today wife and I thought a little retail therapy was in order so Milton Keynes was graced with our presence. Of course with the demise of Jessops there was nowhere I could really go to lust after "boys toys" so I had to content myself with accompanying wife with her retail locations - did manage to purchase a nice jumper. With the local council ramping up the parking charges we park a little distance from The Centre. Amazing how few cars there were in the paying areas. My guess is that receipts are diminishing at an alarming rate. Maybe a rethink is in order.
Anyway, on the way from car to Centre we pass some fig trees seemingly growing wild on a banking by a bridge. Lovely to see they are just about to burst forth with this year's growth.
