The high valley
Today was the first serious walk I have done this visit, 700 metres of climbing up to above 2,300 metres for lunch. It was a little cooler at altitude but Mrs TT was having trouble with her rucksack so I ended up with a double load. I notice the difference above 2,000 metres as the air gets thinner and breathing is a bit more laboured. My crisp packet was swollen at lunchtime with captured air at a different pressure! The scenery was magnificent with wildflowers and butterflies galore.
