Chilling and heating

Thank goodness the rain’s stopped! Very windy and a lot of cloud but some bright spells. Mt&H set off to Alton Towers with the little ones to see CBeebies world and they had a brilliant time despite longer waits and queues for the rides because of extra cleaning regimes and spacing etc. Mx was full of everything he’d seen at the ‘beam park’ and they both were really excited and chatting away with tales about it.
In the meantime various of the others went for walks and to visit the star disk in Wirksworth. T,Kt and I stayed at home and I just read Wolf Hall, with occasional stops to chat, make coffee or tea (you can’t say this cabin is under resourced for tea and coffee making...never seen 3 kettles available before!), play with the dogs or have a wander outside to check the temperature. Some of the time I sat outside when the sun was out but it was a bit too chilly to sit still!
A&N made pizzas for supper...a massive job that started early with making the dough and later lighting (and tending) the fire in their pizza oven (extra). Sa brought her new partner MW over and we chatted, drank and ate all evening instead of UNO and they stayed since T&Kt have now gone home. Relatively early night but some of the others stayed up much later chatting and, I suspect, drinking!
