turtle hunting

After school we went turtle hunting. There is an elusive turtle living in the creek across from the school. We've only ever caught glimpses of him and believe he is a red-eared slider. Every so often, just when we are about to give up, he allows us another look...always keeping our interest peaked.

I predict that Ezra will fall into the creek before we find that turtle. With fallen leaves surrounding the banks, algae covered rocks and breaks in the water that beckon little boys to attempted a crossing...it's only a matter of time.
