Waiting for Custom
We have come to Lisbon to take care of a few things, but also wanted to see how it looks with less tourists. There were some, but it's many years since we've seen it this empty - here is one side of the main square, Praça do Comércio, where the tourist office is, on a sunny afternoon in late July, incredible. As long as you can get here safely, I'd say it would be a good time to visit. Lots of cleaning, everyone in masks, gel available everywhere, and not crowded.
Went to that big Swedish store, but left with nothing, out of stock, too crowded - we'll order online and they'll deliver to Évora somewhere, apparently.
Now at our colleague's flat, it's almost midnight, and 19°C, I am so cold!
Gratefuls:
- that the oil light coming on in the car was nothing serious
- the paella Alex cooked for us, and the homemade vanilla with caramel and walnut sauce ice-cream - both delicious
- having a break from the heat
