Fools Gold

Pyrite (FeS2) also known as "fool's gold".

This 10,000,000 year old sample comes from a mine in La Libertad Province Peru and is displayed in the Natural History Museum, Oxford.

I feel a bit ambivalent about this pic, I didn't realise 'til too late that I should have made much more of the golden reflections. Still, live and learn.
