Scale

I used to look out the front room window at the flag in the park to see how conditions were, to see what kind of measure on Beaufort's scale we were talking about. But, when I looked out this morning - no flag.

Got out on the bike at lunchtime after a morning of book, crossword and coffee. Had a check of the weather forecast beforehand so I knew that a fast rollout East would be countered by a right old slog back West. And that was the case, but no worries. All quite straightforward, just a bit slow is all. I only went down this road pictured for the first time last week but now I've been down it twice - I like it (at the top of Newbyth Hill out of Binning Wood turn left instead of right and Bob's yer uncle for them that know East Lothian).

And then....and then...and then, when I turned back into my own road - a new flag in the park! And a great one at that! Love it, part of the Edinburgh Art Festival no less.
