Bougainvillea In Full Bloom in Florida
This is an excellent bougainvillea hedge put to it's best use; as a screen to hide the neighbors, and keep out intruders. With it's prickly thorns, it is a definite deterrent! When we have dry weather in the winter it goes into overdrive here in Florida. I don't use many prickly plants in my landscapes, but this is still beautiful to enjoy. It also makes a lush bush when you have a lot of yard space and can just let it cascade! The Ringling Museum in Sarasota has some wonderful specimens!
It is a grand plant to view in full bloom! Even if I will not plant it I can still enjoy it! I just don't want to have to trim it!
