Les Mis

(Back blipped)

So the day came that we'd been waiting for for ages. Our day out to London to see Les Miserables on the stage. We opted for the matinee as it was easier for childcare. I'd packed their lunches, afternoon snacks and dinner, left notes for both sets of grandparents who would be sharing it in 2 shifts. We were free to enjoy ourselves for the next 8 hours.

With some time to spare we browsed around China Town as they made preparations for the Chinese New Year celebrations on Sunday. Railings being painted, decorations being hung.

Les mis was as great as I remembered. J hadn't seen it before as while we were tempted to go and see the film instead, I wanted J to see it on the stage first. I is something we've been meaning to do for 10 years. He wasn't disappointed and we came away feeling desperate to see it all over again. I honestly don't think I moved for the whole 3 hours, except to wipe tears from my cheeks as I got caught up in the story.

We got home just as L, my youngest bear, had been sick. And so it began. The poor little mute was still being poorly as 4:30 am, by which point she was totally weary.

So, a bit of a rubbish end to what was an otherwise brilliant day. Meant to catch up on your journals this evening but mummy duties were needed instead
