Harvest Time

We've been eating bilberries as we walk through the forest for a couple of weeks now, browsing as we walk.  They've been a bit sharp but now they are ripe enough to eat so today I was out picking enough for breakfast, as part of the fruit mix. It'll be a few days until we are out picking for the freezer because the berries will hopefully increase a little in size and become even sweeter.
It looks like it's going to be a really good year for blueberries!
Other news - last night it got dark enough, even with a clear sky, to see a star, or perhaps it was a planet. The first time it's been that dark since mid-May, when we lost the stars but gained the white nights.
