My Mini Adventure

Lockdown medal

It finally arrived...L’s lockdown medal that I ordered a long time ago for her as a memento of this time.

This afternoon we had been invited to pop by L’s nursery so that they could take a “graduation” photo. L hasn’t been back to nursery since lockdown began in March and we have since quit. It was nice to see a few people, even though we couldn’t go past the front door.

We dropped off presents for a few important people, including her key worker (Martin) who has been her person since shortly after she turned two years old... and a massive box of maltesers for Jenny, the bursar, (her favourite treat)... the last time we saw each other she was in floods of tears having found out she was to be furloughed. It made a change for mop her tears as she had mopped mine so many times when L first started there and I found it so hard leaving her in the mornings when I went to work.

L looked so grown up in her graduation outfit. So that’s it... bye bye nursery, next stop big school!
