Splash of colour on a grey day

Very miserable weather here today, which made the morning run more of a chore than usual.

There was a glimmer of sun around lunchtime however, when I managed to snap this image of the sweet peas out the front.

I’ve been attempting a bit of “gardening” since the start of lockdown. I have found it remarkably satisfying watching these grow from seedlings into these towering plants, all in matter of months. I think it’s been very cathartic against the back drop of lock down, and a life that has shrunk to a very small bubble the past few months with little change in outlook.
