Getting the genius

It's the annual appraisal target setting time at the moment; I must admit though that I think they're a total waste of time. Looking back over the past 15 years I can honestly say that only two appraisals have played a big part in my development, and the reason for that was not the targets being set, yes that did play a part, but it was more the person acting as a coach rather than a reviewer. Believe me there is a gulf of difference between them!

I'm sure there is someone who could be your coach to help you realise your full potential, or as someone said to me today "it's about getting the genius out of people." I loved that!

In other news I've lost another 2 lbs, it's all heading in the right direction!
