Patterns in Nature
I was on my way to meet a friend tonight when I decided to shortcut through The Square. So glad I did as I stumbled upon a superb exhibition of large scale photographs which, it was said 'explore the beauty, symmetry and complexity of the visual forms created by the natural world'.
I most definitely want to return to really soak up what these images have to offer since I was in a bit of a rush and it was quite dark. However, I certainly saw enough to whet my appetite (they looked amazing). Apparently, the exhibition will run until 7 April and forms part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival, so plenty of time to return, and in daylight next time! I do recall, two or three years ago, being overawed by a similar exhibition there of images shot from satellites and that was just amazing.
