Hobbs's Run

Residue

It began innocently enough. All through the last lockdown we missed being able to get out and have a decent coffee. Now that NSW may have a "second wave" of Covid19, there may well be MORE lockdown periods to come.

We realised that something had to be done about the coffee we can produce at home. We have invested in a decent coffee grinder and a better class of drip filter device. Question is .... should we get serious and go for an espresso machine? We are busy experimenting and scouring Youtube. Will such a machine turn out to be an expensive white elephant? My short black obsessive brother uses his constantly. Hmmmm. Any advice would be most welcome.

Anyway, above I am idly seeking inspiration by examining the residue in my glass coffee cup by the light of my reading lamp, reflecting off the curtain next to my chair. By the time I had tinted the image ambrotype in Silver Efex I thought it looked interesting enough to post. Why not? It is far too miserable to go outside for a picture.
