Teaching Online

Our centre will be heading back to teaching in a few weeks if all goes to plan. It is not quite worked out yet but it looks like we will be teaching some parts of the course online. I managed to do a bit of online connect up with some of the students before the summer recess. Teaching online will present a challenge to both the teachers and the students. I have been doing a bit of practice over the last while and have learned how to operate in Microsoft Teams and use Office 365 especially OneDrive which will be handy for storing and sharing files.

There are a lot of useful videos online teaching Teams and Office 365. There is a useful video on getting you to pay attention even when you are not interacting with the presenter. A lot of people forget that they are still onscreen even when the speaker is not conversing with them. They start looking at their mobile phones or picking their noses.
