Trip to Glasgow
Visited my FIL for the first time since February - good to see him after all this time It was strange being back in Glasgow after so long.
We met my friend Gillian outside Eusabi where we got some Delicious carry out food and sat on a bench in Kelvingrove Park to eat it then went for a wander in the park.
Coming back we were crossing a bridge on the road when saw this cute wee dog in the path below in the park. It trotted up the stairs and passed us, in its own. Turned out the owner who was a nurse was tending to a cyclist who had fallen badly off her bike and Mimi (the dogs name) just trotted off home. Caught her as she was about to cross the busy road to her house. A lady came up with a spare lead and someone else called the number on the collar. Then the owner lady arrived all flustered and worried but pleased when she saw me holding Mimi. Turns out Mimi is a rescue dog from Romania and she was the sweetest and cutest little red hairy daushund type. Also she belongs to Tom Shields, him of the diary that used to write in the Herald. All was well.
We decided to go back to Eusabi for a coffee and cake and while waiting we saw Janey Godley, the comedienne sitting with her husband and Honey the dog in a pram.
Home quite late and legs screaming at me after the big walk yesterday!!
