Lunchtime on the sunflower seeds

It's been a day of veg and fruit picking and processing from the allotment.  Tony has taken down the raspberry canes which have now finished.  There are were courgettes in the basket out front for passers-by.  I have blanched peas, french beans and broccoli florets, which are now in the freezer with a couple of pounds of blackcurrants.

The feeders in the elder tree were busy today with three kinds of tits; goldfinches, siskins, jackdaws, chaffinches and a nuthatch going backwards and forwards.  The elder tree is not looking very healthy though and we are worried it may be on its way out...
