We have a lilac very close to the house, and our clothesline close to the lilac. Hence when the clothesline is in use, the red admirals that are usually visiting the lilac, take a break on the clothesline. Or maybe they are inspecting our laundry :)
This red admiral was quite good in hiding for the camera. I needed distance, so the butterfly sat close to my head, waiting for me to move away, and then flew away again.
Bumblebees were also having tea at the lilac, but the butterflies were not so amused about that. We saw several times a butterfly chasing a bumblebee away. Never saw that before.
