A sweet spot

We find ourselves in something of a sweet spot. While Johnson once again flies in the face of those who are better informed that him and encourages "those who can" to return to the office, most of those who are so able have decided to continue to work from home instead. 

Yet at the same time, there is no clear and well-communicated guidance about who you can have in your home; that aspect of affairs seems to have petered out now that you can be in a pub with anybody.

So, as I say, a sweet spot; one that means Hannah can come to stay for a couple days, working intently during the daytime but able to hang out with us in the evenings. Tonight we went down to the curry house, to which, with the exception of the waiters wearing face masks, normality has returned.
