Graceful arch

As with all gardens, some things do better in mine than others.

My clianthus (kaka beak) is an enthusiastic resident. I love the arching frond-like branches that sweep in every direction.

The Girl Friend from next door gives it a pretty hard time. I see it shake when she launches at it. Other than a few small broken branches, it's remarkably cat proof.

Green buds are forming and soon it looks like I'm going to have a lot of red kaka beak flowers.

Today was glorious - sunny, warm and only a light breeze. Wore shorts and a t-shirt most of the day.

Today's gratitude: For the successfully managing, exercise, domestics and a little bit of gardening without sending my back or hip into spasms.
