Feast!

Yesterday when I lifted the lid off the compost bin I startled a resident vole family. I was just as startled! Today I had my phone to hand and lifted the lid carefully enough to get a vole blip. Just the one though, the others must have been feasting below, still getting over the shock of seeing my new haircut. There’s been a fair bit of fox crap around and now I suspect why, though I’m not going to inspect it for vole bones.
Lettuce, radishes, spuds, rocket, gooseberries, redcurrants and peas harvested, the pumpkin pruned back - it wants to take over the whole plot. Plenty good stuff added to the compost bin as vole treats.
