Lake Coleridge

The lake was formed by a glacier over 20,000 years ago and it is the site of one of the earliest hydroelectric schemes, completed in 1914.

We were in the Rakaia Gorge area for some track walking, and enjoyed this scene on a beautiful mid-winter day.
