Wet

A morning spent in the hot tub, then over a leisurely breakfast, then taking a walk around our forest surroundings before sandwiches for lunch and, once the showers had stopped, drove to Dovedale for a walk along the river and across the stepping stones. Considering how tired the children were after little sleep, and how tired the dogs were after Higgs continually pestering Heston, I’m amazed how far they all walked and how good-humoured they stayed.
Home to prep a big Greek feast of lamb, salad, yvecchi, tzatziki, spinach pie and halloumi. We’d found a lovely little dairy nearby and had home made brownies and local ice cream for dessert. Yum! More hot tub for some before a thunderstorm started so put the kids to bed and after the rain stopped A,N&O went out to set up a sensing camera near a badger’s set. The rest of us played Uno which was an old fashioned laugh.
