The way home

Driving home after a busy day in Tarragona, which is about an hour away and is a long way to have to go to a decent DIY store but there's not much choice. Out of all the photos I took from the moving car this was the most presentable... so it's what you get.

Anyway we managed to get most of what we went for i.e. some radiators, pipe and fittings so that Steve can begin to get a central heating system sorted out and, as there's no mains gas, we'll be investing in a big wood-burning boiler which will burn both logs and pellets and which will be sited downstairs in a storeroom next to the hall. But that expense will have to wait.

Other purchases included Fish Sauce, Oyster Sauce and some ground Lemongrass, none of which are commonly available around here, packs of two Naans for only 99 cents which are an absolute bargain, and circular knitting needs in two sizes for just over a euro for the two!

Snow is forecast for tomorrow, but we'll see.

Edit: I knitted all the 200 odd stitches onto the new circular needles and guess what? The needle came away from the wire at one end and I ended up having to pick up all those stitches. It will be super-glued (when we find the glue) but when will either of us ever learn not to buy something just because it's cheap!
