Reflections

A and I went over to H's this morning.  A to see to the ponies and do some riding, while I helped H have a bath and wash her hair.  She was in a bad way and just didn't have the energy.  She'd fallen again overnight and was exhausted so we had a cup of coffee and I rang the doctor. 

The lack of internet, wifi or phone signal, except outside or in the far room, meant trying to connect to a virtual consultation failed completely.  Instead the doctor arranged for an ambulance to take H straight to the hospital.  We've been here before.  I do hope they don't let her home until she's a lot stronger.  

Mixed emotions as we said goodbye to each other.  Glad that she was agreeing to go back to the hospital and would be looked after properly, but so sad to see her leaving and wondering what more we, her friends, could have done.
