Oh my goodness - rain!

It has rained more or less non-stop all day today, I can almost hear the garden rejoicing!
I got wet this morning when I went to the fabric shop to get the batting and backing to finish my quilt ( I know now why I haven't tried this hobby before - it cost £45 just for backing fabric and batting!!). It was strange seeing everyone in town wearing face coverings, and having to wear one myself...Once again I felt huge grief at all we have lost over the last 5 months, most notably our liberty and freedom to express ourselves - no hugs, no smiles....I wanted to cry!!).

Grateful today for - Amazon prime, I forgot to get basting safety pins!!
