My life in blips

Lennox Castle Hospital

Wet start to the day. Took WP out for a walk along on the old railway path from Milton of Campsie. We explored some of the grounds of the old Lennox Castle - it was rather eerie.

Built in the 1830s as a Scottish baronial mansion, it became a WWII emergency hospital, had a maternity wing (where one of my friends was born) and then a psychiatric hospital. It closed in 2002 and much of it was destroyed in a fire in 2008.

Celtic have their training ground close by. I usually pass Neil Lennon on my drive to work - today's useless piece of information !!

End of today's local history lesson!
