Flowers for my sister

Due to the Covid pandemic, my mother decided not to have a funeral for my sister which was a strange situation - feels a little as if the other shoe has yet to drop.  She was cremated today in a "direct cremation" which is apparently all the rage in Hartlepool, where no family are involved.  I am trying to be kind and assuming that my mother thinks this is the best solution at present, rather than my less charitable suspicion that she can't be bothered organising something.
Anyway, I picked her some beautiful scented roses and lit some candles and said a little prayer.
