Living Quite The High Life

All three of our ladies are now laying eggs daily and Dionne is looking very pleased with herself here. They are living quite the high life now with today’s treat being some leftover melon skins.

Aimi the vet came to see China today and confirmed that he is lame particularly on his left back leg. She thought it was his stifle (horse equivalent of his knee) but as she couldn’t be sure, she performed a joint block, injecting anaesthetic into the joint to see how it reacted. It confirmed what she thought, that the problem is with the joint but she couldn’t determine what the problem was. The next step is an x-ray which is booked in for next Friday and hopefully it will show the best case scenario of some minor tissue damage which can be easily medicated rather than some more serious damage to the bone or cartilage which won’t be so easy to treat...all we can do is wait and see!
