For Flour Friday!

G came up with that pun. She spent a couple of hours in the kitchen in the afternoon, and this is what she produced! A loaf, rolls, bacon, egg and mushroom quiche, apple and blueberry crumble, treacle tart and some lemon meringue tarts! (I help whisk the eggs whites for the meringue until the hand blender was found.)

It has been a much needed day off. We skipped the church service. Apart from G's industriousness in the kitchen, the only thing of note was the flat got vacuumed and in the evening, we went out to do the recycling and a pharmacy hop to look for the medicines we need which for some reason, are always out of stock! I had the bright idea to go to the pharmacies where we last found them and voila - one had what I was looking for and the other (in Festival City) had what G needed, except it's got to come from another branch.

We swung by the Last Exit D89 for a saffron tea while we were "in the neighbourhood". ;))
