First Class
I’ve been anxious all week waiting for my results, largely because we haven’t been told when we are actually getting them. I wasn’t feeling great today, just wanted to lay in bed and watch tv but at about 2pm after checking my emails (for the 50th time) I finally received my results...
I got a FIRST!
For someone who fully intended on dropping out of uni and struggled with it, I am so delighted and proud of myself. I dropped my phone on the floor and burst into tears when I read the email. We got dressed and rushed over to G&G’s to share the news - both were as happy as I was!
The five of us got dolled up and went out for our first family meal since quarantine to TGI’s (a family fave). We ate a lottt of food and enjoyed all of it. The family got me a no1 balloon to celebrate and the engraved star in the picture. I love it. The staff at TGI’s were also full of congratulations. When we walked in the waitress asked ‘So which one’s Chloe?’ And proceeded to tell me how impressed she was that I got a first in a maths degree not a ‘silly’ degree. The manager also stopped by at our table asking ‘Are you the one?’ to congratulate me and offer me a free drink on the house! I told her I don’t drink so they let me have a dessert on the house instead. The waiter also wrote ‘Congrats! Here’s to the next chapter!’ On our receipt. I was taken aback - they were so lovely!
Thank you to my family for supporting me and helping me through the past 3 years. I couldn’t have done it without you. But also, well done to myself. I worked bloody hard and did bloody well.
Also a HUGE well done to Joe Joe who finished second year with a 2:1!!! So proud of my baby bro xx
