A Short Time

By ‘short time’ he means ‘short hair’. Similar to the way that ‘just tidy it up please’ translates to ‘go ahead and scalp me’. The traditional, small amount of banter was even less than usual, what with masks and visor being a bit of a conversation killer but I did gather he was pretty happy to be making some dosh after a four month layoff. Not so happy with the guy ahead of me who had furnished a picture of the haircut he fancied. I loved the put down - ‘So like a little boy?’
In case you wondered, that price is higher than usual. But I didn’t pay it - there’s a retired gentleman’s rate!
