Water Lily

When I was enjoying a very wet walk through Pollok Park yesterday I visited the two wee ponds behind the walled garden.

I could see some water lilies but they were almost totally hidden by the thick green leaves. I decided that I would go back this morning with a suitable implement to hold back the leaves while I took a photo or two.

Fortunately it has been dry today, at least it has been where I am. My gardening boys came this afternoon ..... I can still do most of the work myself but the boys are so much quicker and better at grass cutting than I am!
