Elephant Ears

I have an elephant ear plant (not sure what it's real name is) in my jungle on the stairs. This is the second one I've grown, as the first got too tall for the stalk and it snapped. I transplanted a smaller leaf (the leaves can be about a foot wide and a foot long triangles), which sprouted roots very quickly -so I was pleased to find that I would always be able to keep it going. I love the texture of the leaves, they're like velvet, and I tried to capture the fibres with this photo.
