Lighthouse

I decided I needed an afternoon/evening out with my camera after being locked away for 4 months so headed for the coast and the sea.

This is Happisburgh (pronounced Haysborough.......don't ask!) Lighthouse.  Because of severe coastal erosion the beach access ramp at Happisburgh has been permanently closed.  Access is via Cart Gap some two miles away. Coastal erosion around this area is quite bad and it is estimated that since 1992 they have lost around 100m of coastline to erosion and are currently losing 2m per year on average. As you walk up the beach past the village you can see the brick wrecks of houses lost as the cliffs have collapsed.  Very sad and worrying for those who live along the road to the beach.  How long until the landmark lighthouse collapses into the sea?
