'Silent Killer: arsenic poisoning in Bangladesh'

Arsenic contamination of drinking water is widespread in Bangladesh. Arsenic cannot be seen, smelled or tasted but long-term exposure causes skin lesions and serious illness, including cancer. Ultimately it can be fatal.

In Chuadanga and Meherpur Districts IMPACT distributes special Sonos filters to families so that they can make their water safe for consumption. This is lowering the incidence of poisoning and fatal health problems which so tragically blight the communities we work with. Each filter costs just £52.
