In the Middle of the Night .....

Sorry for the abysmal quality of the photo, but i thought i'd record this moment. 

We stuck the wild life camera out in the garden to capture the beast who was leaving large Poos centre stage in the garden.  

We spotted two hedgehogs (maybe same one); and a FOX.   

Last night we were entertained by Bean dropping a mouse in front of the camera.   Four or five shots she just sat and looked at what we thought was little dead body.  But then Beau came into shot and the two of them chatted for a moment, and the mouse took off. 

There then followed several shots of both cats at different times chasing the mouse round the garden; some times nosing it.. .sometimes batting it. 

Eventually the inevitable came.  And weirdly it was Beau  the softie of the two who struke the fatal blow  

And then ate it all, in front of the camera. 

I loved this shot though.... it was just seconds after the fatal blow was  stuck - the mouse must have made enough of a noise to alert a bat -- see the bat?  flying over the top of them both?   

Amazing.
