Et de trois !

This is the third bass clarinet in three weeks! Astonishing. It was actually part of a quartet with three "normal" clarinets. I have some extras to spare, so ... enjoy.

Theoretically this was a show for children, a retelling of Mother Goose tales with musical accompaniment. We weren't going to bother but were encouraged to do so, and we enjoyed it in the end. Plus it was only an hour long.

It was hot again today, 36C. We thought we'd go out for lunch, trying out the 1900's new large and shady terrace. So we drove to Lagrasse to find it was closed ... you'd think that having lost the first half of the season they'd make more effort. The terrace of our second choice across the road was heaving, and it was getting a bit late. We dashed back to the restaurant in our village to find we were too late for the 3-course menu,  so we had to fall back on tapas. Which was not a huge hardship. It was so hot on the terrace that we weren't massively hungry anyway; we soon went home to chill out as best we could.
