Our Good Deed
We're lucky to have NT Buscot Park close by, as although the house is not open the gardens are, and you don't need to pre-book. We popped over there this afternoon, hoping to get a suitable Wide Wednesday water shot. I got two, one at the lake, and the extra of the pool. But maybe that can't count as 'swimming pool' is not listed along with sea/lake/river/pond in the challenge :-)
It's not mrsfb in the main blip by the way!
Just before I took the pool shot a couple (not as old as us) went to view it. A little girl shouted at them 'the pool is closed'. Her big sister said 'you don't have to tell them that, they can read the sign'. The little girl replied 'but they're old'. I don't think they were amused.
Just after we got to the main house we found a mobile phone in a wallet which someone had dropped. I carefully opened it and there were credit cards and cash as well as the phone. In normal times we would have taken it to the entrance and handed it in. We could have just left it but decided to phone the park office and someone came and collected it. That was our good deed for the day.
This morning we visited the other bathroom showroom, with an appointment this time. I think we have found some tiles now, and the shower we want at a more sensible price. We will probably get the worktops from this shop too as they had one we liked which will go with the tiles we chose. We are ready to place the order now, but can't at the moment as our fitter is on holiday! Seems crazy after all the time they have been unable to work, but I guess he couldn't go on holiday anywhere either.
