Long look

A trip out to Dawyck Gardens in the Borders, a second visit to see this brilliant collection of trees.

Sadly it was shut during the azalea seasons when I really wanted to go this year, maybe next year.

We took a picnic and sat with it looking down on the big house (see extra). My favourite view was from the top of the garden looking down the meadow towards the little chapel.

AS always, we learned plenty about plants - and managed to squeeze in time for a good cup of coffee too.
