Thank yous and Goodbyes

The last day of the strangest academic year, never my favourite day but it is good to have reached a full stop. There was time with the English Department this morning, work done in prep for teaching in September and just two children in school. Thank yous to the team I have worked most closely with since lockdown at lunchtime and then the goodbyes this afternoon to three colleagues and friends are heading off to new jobs - one actually started (virtually) at Easter. Speeches and tears combined but it was all well done and then three of us determined to say our goodbyes away from school once it was all done and I have come home with lovely cards and gifts to mark the end of the year.
