Bridge

The painter finished today and so I am pleased because that is another task which can be ticked off the list.  It was all a bit scary for Dibble and he spent most of the day hiding in a very small space underneath a shelf unit but he is out now and has had food, so I think he is OK. 

I went for a walk later and this is the Devorgilla Bridge in Dumfries which has a long history and is named after Lady Devorgilla.  According to her wikipedia entry I discovered there is a connection to Barnard Castle through her marriage to John Balliol.  Barnard Castle being the place Dominic Cummings felt the need to drive to in order to test his eyesight during the lockdown.
