Butterfly
What a wonderful day. The weather has closed in a bit, so we were so pleased we did the glacier yesterday. But we drove to Lake Matheson, and took 3 hours to do a 90 minute walk. I've never seen such a diversity of moss and lichen and plant life. This temperate rain forest really is something.
Then we went to Gillespie's Beach, which was very interesting in a different way. We saw tuis, native pigeons, a cicada, a pair of crickets doing what crickets love to do on a Thursday afternoon, and this lovely little butterfly.
I'm pretty sure TeeJay blipped this a while back, or maybe FarmerGirl.
Bigger wings.
The internet here is more expensive than gold dust, so it's another day without comments - sorry, but thanks for all of yours, and for sending the Fox Glacier image to the spotlight page.
