New piece in progress...

This is a new piece that I've been working on today for The Silent Landscape exhibition.
It's something I've been meaning to try for a while - a tree stump with new growth sprouting from the top, and painted so that you can see the roots below the earth.

I still have quite a bit to do to it, but I'm happy with it so far. The composition and balance of the piece is good, I just have to add colour and detail now!
