Best laid plans

Messed up by Mother Nature. The day started out looking good for a mountain hike but as we traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway toward Boone we could see clouds. The higher we went the darker they were. Of course the area where I wanted to walk to the waterfall was being rained on tremendously. So as we drove away from the area the rain stopped a little so I thought we might be able to walk at the next waterfall which I had been to many times. Nope..the rain followed us and by the time we got there it was pouring again.


So we traveled on to Boone where the sun was shining. Of course!

The good news is the temperature is 75! Better than the 97 it is at home!
