On the verge

The County Council don't cut the piece of verge beside our house, they stop for an unknown reason by the lamp-post, so we have started cutting it ourselves. We're removing the vast amounts of coarse grasses that were growing there, and tomorrow we'll add yellow rattle and wild flower seeds, and hope that this time next year we'll have something more wildlife friendly to walk beside.
